You found a TICK, now what?

So you found a tick on you or your child’s body, but now what?

After the tick has been removed, place it in screw-top bottle or a sealed bag (like a pill vial or Ziploc bag), and take it to your health care provider or local health unit. They can send it to the Ontario Public Health Laboratory for identification. Establishing the type of tick may help to assess your risk of acquiring Lyme disease.
